Jayshree Gadkar appeared in movies like Gharkul, Aaliya Bhogasi, Gath Padli Thaka Thaka, Chandoba Chandoba Bhaaglas Ka, Sangtye Aika, Avghachi Sansar, Mohityanchi Manjula, Saadhi Mansa Sangoo Kashi Me, and Manini and lots more. She became one of the best household names in the showbiz industry and still going strong.
Her television Series debut was in 1987 with Ramanand Sagar series Ramayan.
In the television Series Ramayan she acted as Kaushalya. She acted in marathi movie Disat Tasa Nasat in Dinkar D Patil’s movie opposite Raja Gosavi.
In 1995 she made her Bollywood debut with V Shantaram’s - Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baje as a group dancer .
She was also seen in the Bhojpuri film Seeta Maiya in 1964. At the age of 66 years she died on 29 August 2008 due to illness. The funeral had held in Shivaji Park crematorium in Mumbai.
She won awards for movie Manini, Vaijantha, Sawaal Majha Aika! and Saadhi Mansa.
She has written her own Autobiography in a book Ashi Mi Jayshri. Marathi Film debut is Sangte Aika in 1959.
